Supreme Warrior Randwick Win

Well, Congratulations to the whole team as it was a well-executed plan to see our boy salute up at Randwick on a big race day.

It was a great team effort as Leon picked out a great race, I suggested putting blinkers on after he was a tad sluggish out of the gates at his past couple, and Taylor Marshall did the rest.

He has now won a 3rd of his lifetime starts winning 8 of 28 starts which is a great effort for a difficult horse to work out, train and ride, so credit to the skills of his jockeys and Leon, who have now got a winning formula. He needs blinkers on, a wet track and more of a sprinter miler than a stayer as he was bred to do.

Ancient Bull Wins Maiden at Geelong

Well that was unbelievable, to only 3 weeks ago be in a situation to retire him unlaced, to actually win our first start, is unheard of. Credit where credit is due Leon Corstens and Michael Rodd turned him around, along with Mel who has been riding him in track work have moulded a horse to run!!

I know it was a maiden at Geelong, but this win would be one of the most satisfying wins I have been involved with, as we have a very good crew in him and I was wondering what we have done wrong as all our horses from that yearling crop are winners!

Leon was all smiles and said enjoy this win as a lot of hard work has gone into this and we are very fortunate to be justified with a good win.

Judicial Rock Wins at Bendigo

Well that’s her right form and congrats to all as she deserved to break through! Ollie summed it up perfectly, had her in the box seat and she asserted her authority in the final 200 metres to pull away for a good win.

Ollie said she won well and we should step her back up to metro grade as a mare winning against the boys is always good form.

Leon was rapt to get her back in the winner’s circle as not much had gone right at her previous couple of runs. She is a good quality metro mare and that’s where she belongs, so it would be great to finally win a city class race.

Amovatio wins 2nd in a row!

Congratulations to all!!! What a super win, and for a stride or 2 I thought it was going to be another ‘Amo unlucky story’, but now he is more mature he is starting to burst through those inside gaps.

It was a masterstroke from trainer Chris Waller, as the temptation was there to step up in distance but he made the right call as the professional horseman he is. Chris was chuffed as the horse has improved this time, both physically and mentally, which is now showing on race day with the ultimate result. Hat must go off to young Serg as he didn’t panic when caught out on the inside and was very strong riding our boy home late.

Word of Mouth Wins at Flemington

CONGRATULATIONS …

It was great to see Word Of Mouth bounce back with a great win at Flemington and its was a very special day had by all.

Michael Rodd said he went back to settle him, got going early 3 wide and then let him rip in the straight, “I timed my run to perfection!!!” He said he is a nice progressive horse that will keep improving which is a great sign for his future.

Leon was chuffed as the race was named in honour of a mate of his and we have had 2 runners in this race together for 2 wins, so now we need to find that 3 year old for next year…

Congratulation’s …

Well that was a very good win 2nd up with 60kgs and a sign we are in for a very good prep with the Warrior. Michael Rodd gave him the gun ride from the outside gate and he can take a fair bit of credit as his record on him is impeccable, 8 rides for 5 wins, his last 3 wins all Metro wins.

Leon passed on his congratulations as he is such a real bulldog and fights tooth and nail all the way down the straight.

Amovatio Wins at Rosehill

Well done guys, congratulations and how about the win by Amo! Just goes to show what he can do with pace on. Trainer Chris Waller was worried about the distance, but when they went too hard up front that played into our hands, which is very easy to watch, as he had the race won with 300 to go!

I am so happy as this horse deserved a win like today after suffering from minimal luck during his career and his record should read so much better, but now that he has won again I am sure he can go on with it, especially as he gets out in distance.
