Zolt Wins at Pakenham

Congratulations on the big win today as we had plenty against us, but his class shone through today and Ollie was a 12/10. Ollie was really happy with him today and that’s a big plus as when Ollie gets confidence with a horse, only good things happen!

As we have been saying all along when the penny drops he will be a nice horse and he is definitely starting to go that way now. Big credit has to go to Leon Corstens as he was going to the paddock after his last run, but he put his old horsemanship into action which meant a week at the beach to get those shins right !

Hopefully we are one step closer to a S.A. Derby!

Jacoman Wins at Ballarat

CONGRATULATIONS!

Wow sums up the win today as that showed us he has a great tactical speed, coupled up with great heart as he let down like a good horse.

I thought Damien summed it up well from the jump and was really positive, did a little work early, but his turn of foot in the last 200 was devastating running good time. Ollie said “he has a very bright future as he improves every time I get on him.” and it’s exciting to be pairing with him going forward!

Leon was even a little but taken back by the improvement he showed ,but he’s not complaining. He is only just beginning his career, as he will only improve with age and the stretch out to further distances.

We will let him get over this run in the next few days and put a plan of attack together for his 3rd run which will be in the city at either Moonee Valley or Sandown.

If you wanted to order a picture or a DVD ,here are the details to Slick Pix – www.slickpix.com.au/

Siegestor Wins at the Valley

Well what a win by our boy and you have to love a horse who sticks his neck out busting a gut to win his races ,he tries 110% of the time.

Steven King rode a 10/10 race and has to be commended as he didn’t lose his nerve settling back further than we had planned ,but he didn’t feel the pressure one bit ! Steve was very happy with the horse saying the 2nd horse ran up to us, but Siegestor surged again in the last 100 and was too strong.

He pulled up well today ,but we have a good plan to set him for the Winter Championship series in May/June July. So he will have 2-3 weeks up at Balnarring at a spelling property heading to the beach every day for some R & R.

When he comes back later March we will get him going and map out a nice campaign trying to qualify for the Winter Championship Final at Flemington.

Siegestor Wins at Sandown

Well what a win and today he has stamped himself with a very bright future as he showed us he can toy with that class, so onwards and upwards.

(Jockey) Steve King was very appreciative, as he doesn’t get the same support as he once use to, but champion riders never lose their ability and we have faith in Steve to carry us forward to a good career. He said it was simply a case of being better and much better than them today and he has plenty of upside.

For Leon and Troy it was great relief to see him come back the way he did after his setbacks in the past and if we have a trouble free prep we should be able to graduate to better races.

Well done guys, and congratulations as we have a big team of owners and its always special when we win, but with a big group it amplifies everything 10 fold.

Houdini The Great wins at Bendigo

Well wasn’t that a sight for sore eyes, to see the boy turn around his last start disappointing run to come back with a vengeance!!

Credit to Leon by realising he needed to be back in the country to be trained, and there isn’t many better rides than what Roddy (jockey Michael Rodd) produced today, truly masterful !

The win was better than we all first thought as he banged his head on the gates when anticipating the jump, hence he was out the back, but he rallied in the straight for a tough win.

I do owe Harry an apology as I did refer to him as a flea yesterday, it was more of reverse phycology and to Harry’s credit, he lifted!!!

Amovatio Wins at Randwick

Well done and Congratulations, that was some win as Jimmy timed his run to perfection!

Credit has to go to Chris Waller as he has done a fantastic job with this guy to win 3 Saturday-class races this time in and enjoy all those BOBS bonuses. It is great for his prize money.

Amovatio (Al Maher/Grand Ovation):

He won well today albeit by a narrow margin over the mile at Randwick. He began ok and Jim eased him to settle at the rear but the pace wasn’t strong at all so he was a bit keen throughout. Coming into the corner he travelled up when the pace quickened and they took a gap to come away with a narrow win but a win nonetheless. Jim said he sprinted well and that is was a good win and he should be able to go on with it now. We are lucky they transferred to the Randwick Course Proper as we should now receive the BOBS bonus. We will see how he pulls up and then find a suitable race.

Well that was nearly one of my proudest movements in racing today, to see her do that to a good field coming back from injury was amazing. Congratulations to all the owners.

Big thanks to Bruno Cannatelli at Ultimate photos he works so hard for the whole industry and is a unsung hero as he does so much for free ,like these photo’s below. If you’d like to order some, let me know.
