Our Wind Spirit continues winning run

Unbeaten in Australia after four starts, OUR WIND SPIRIT (4yo g, Per Incanto x Timpin) continued his rapid rise through the grades with an arrogant victory at Geelong in the Shojun Concrete BM70 Hcp.

The victory brought up a winning double for Michael Rodd and continued a great three-way association between Rodd, trainer Lindsey Smith and Spicer Thoroughbreds – one that we hope continues on to stakes races later in the year.

Our Wind Spirit was bought off a sole run in New Zealand when he flashed home from the back of the field and caught Brad and Mick’s eye – the times and form checked out with a great forward outlook and so he was put to existing clients to recruit him to Australia.

“It’s been a great result for everyone so far and what we are doing is building the horse’s confidence. To have a jockey like Michael Rodd help that process is a bonus,” said Brad Spicer.

Our Wind Spirit will continue to work his way through the grades and is still eligible for BM78 and BM84 races before stepping up to stronger company; he is the perfect example of the sort of fun owners can have with a ready to race tried horse.

Congratulations to all of our happy owners!
