I would like to present this stunning filly by Sire of this year’s Blue Diamond winner, Written By, the all-conquering Written Tycoon, also the Sire of 2016 Golden Slipper winner Capitalist.

Now standing in Victoria at Woodside Park his 2018 service fee is expected to exceed $100k – the highest service fee in Victorian history.

Out of a very fast City winning mare Escobar who won her first start at Morphettville by 4 lengths in a dominant debut.

I am a very big fan of the Written Tycoon stock as most of the buying bench are, that’s why we targeted a filly of this quality as if she can obtain some black type on the track she could be worth 10 to 20 times her purchased price as a broodmare prospect post racing!

She will head to  the all-Conquering Darren Weir stables at  Ballarat where he is fortunate to have one of the best training centres in the world at his doorstep!

Shares (10%) are offered for $ 12.25k + GST  which includes all sales vetting,William Inglis Race series fee, transport, breaking in, pre-training & agistment until 01st June  2018 and Mortality Insurance to 30thNovember 2018.

She is both Super Vobis & Vobis Sires eligible meaning we can target the early Super Vobis money including the $1million Showdown race @ Caulfield next April.

HORSE OF THE MONTH

SEPOY x CAIGUNA Bay Colt

Spicer Thoroughbreds are proud to introduce this stunning looking 2 year old  colt by the boom sire Sepoy. Sepoy was an amazing 2 year old winning the Countries 2 biggest races in the group 1 Blue Diamond stakes and also the pinnacle of the juvenile races in the Golden Slipper. Sepoy was the most dominant 2 year old we’ve seen in Australia over the last 20 years and that was reflected  in the sale ring with his progeny fetching in excess of 2 Million dollars. This Colt is out of a mare in Caiguna, who is a stakes winner and ran 2nd in the West Australian Guineas at group 2 level which is no mean feat against the colts.

Our Colt was a recent purchase at the Ready To Run sale where he galloped really well running a low 11 sec sectional and having some inside information on him knowing he was going a little shin sore into his breeze up mean’s the colt is open to leads of improvement.

The Colt is currently spelling and will start work with Champion  David Hayes in around 4 weeks’ time.  This colt  is a horse that could potentially hit the race  track by next Feb if all went to plan next time in.

A 10% Share in the Colt are 14 k Plus Gst with 5% shares available on request with full owner privileges, Insurance is included until Nov 2016 and all training Fee’s/agistment costs are included until Nov 30th 2015.   Spicer Thoroughbreds charges no ongoing management fees, and provides owners an unprecedented level of communication and audio-video coverage to keep you informed of your horse’s progress.

If you would like to get involved in a good colt with David Hayes, please send me an email on brad@spicerthoroughbreds.com.au or call 0400 676 773

Horse of the Month:

MASTER OF DESIGN x PARIS RETURN Filly

Spicer Thoroughbreds are proud present our latest offering in this wonderful filly by that crack speed horse Master Of Design.

Master of Design was a terrific racehorse with his biggest achievement being the Group 1 T.J.Smith in Sydney, which boasts an honour roll like no other which includes such horses as Chautauqua, Lankan Ruppee, Mahogany, Takeover Target and of course the mighty mare Black Caviar on 2 occasions. He was a 2.1 Million dollar yearling at the famous Easter Yearling sales which tells you he is an outstanding individual.

This filly’s dam is called Paris Return who was a European import that was trained by Bart Cummings ,she was a dual winner as a 2 year old and trained on to win over 2000 meters, which shows her durability. I actually raced her half-sister called Fantome Gris who had great ability, she should of actually won the group 2 Edward Manifold Stakes at Flemington as a 3 year old filly, when running a very unlucky 4th beaten 1.85 lengths. Both foals to race from the mare Paris Return have been city winners and that’s all you can ask when trying to have a bit of fun on the track. This particular filly is by far the strongest yearling she has thrown which really attracted me to her and she is the best value yearling I have purchased all sales season in 2015.

The way this filly presented at the sale you would say she could be a 2 year old which could open the door to the big Magic Millions 3 Million dollar 2 year old race in January. Beyond that there is a 2 Million dollar Magic Millions Guineas as a 3 year old and the every year after that there is a 1 Million dollar race she could possibly race in. The race series certainly gives us a great incentive to purchase quality bloodstock because if you strike a good one, the prize money opportunities are endless…. She is my pick as our value buy for our 2015 team of yearlings and will be very popular.

She will be trained by Leon and Troy Corstens with 10% shares starting at $6,450 plus Gst which includes all your costs up until Sept 1st, Floating, sales vetting, Magic Millions race series, agistment, insurance to Nov 30th. 5% share’s also available.

Spicer Thoroughbreds charges no ongoing management fees, and provides owners an unprecedented level of communication and audio-video coverage to keep you informed of your horse’s progress.

To reserve your share please call Brad on 0400676773 or email brad@spicerthoroughbreds.com.au
