Zabeelionaire spot-on for Melbourne Cup tilt after slashing Mackinnon run

Gr1 winner Zabeelionaire is on target for a crack at the big one after a cracking 5^th in the Gr1 Mackinnon Stakes this afternoon. In what looks like a classic Bart Cummings preparation, our bloke finished powerfully to run 5^th 2.1L away from winner Alcopop.

If we can get some luck at the barrier draw later today we would have to be in the Cup with a decent hope.
