Snapdance Has The Moves

Aug 19, 2019

It’s always nice when a young horse confirms it’s track work potential and 3yo filly SNAPDANCER (Choisir x Snapdragon) did just that on Monday at Ballarat when she led all the way for an easy maiden win over 1200m.

Ridden by Linda Meech and trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, Snapdancer was a cut above a good maiden field and signalled her future in better races with the 1.75-length win, running 4-lengths faster than the older horses on the same day.

“She’s afilly we’ve always thought would get out over a trip, a mile maybe 2000m, so for her to win like that over 1200m shows just how smart she is,” said Brad.

“Her times were great and Linda gave her a great post-race report, it’s onwards and upwards for her.”

Topping off the win is the involvement of a great group of owners, some long-term clients and others who dipped their toe for the first time with this filly.

“It’s a super group of people and to see their reaction after the race is why we do what we do.”
