Ready As Elle very impressive first up at The Valley
/in News /by adminPromising mare Ready As Elle returned to the track this evening with a win that suggests there’s good things to come. Starting an easing 2nd fav behind Syd visitor Night Moves, she wasn’t bustled early and was back just off midfield, while the fav was pressured laeft right and centre up on the speed. Once young former Kiwi apprentice Alex Forbes gave her her mouth she rounded them up quickly and gave them windburn in the straight.
The win was enjoyed by some of her owners who were on-course but none more celebrated than by Team Corstens Racing manager and part owner Luka Topic. That’s what racing is all about!

We have entered Supreme Warrior for this Saturday in the 1200 meters down the straight ,we haven’t fully committed to it and we might wait until the 29th at Moonee Valley as we are hopefully of securing Michael Rodd.
I will let you know by tomorrow which direction we will take but here are the noms for Saturday below .

We will shoot an update through once they have settled in around 3 weeks time .All they will do for the first part is trot and canter work just to trim up their bellies !!

/in Supreme Warrior News /by adminWell, we drew perfect at Flemington on Saturday and we are now a very good each way chance. His work has been super and we can’t fault him . There are 5 other horses that have very good chances too ,so it’s not open and shut ,but our guy deserves his crack at this better race .
Nick Hall has been booked and will be well versed on Supreme’s little habits .

Al Maher / Grand Ovation Update

He has had another elevated temperature over the weekend and I was contemplating spelling him anyway as he was flat on Friday and Saturday before there was any sign of a temperature or infection. He must have something in his system so we will treat him with penicillin and give him a six week break. It’s disappointing in terms of the Magic Millions but he is a very nice horse and worth looking after.
