We welcome a stunning filly by Deep Field from the winning Snitzel mare Summit Breath.
This filly has a very sharp look about her as well as a calm demeanour, that immediately had me thinking “two-year old races” and the dream of her returning to the Gold Coast in January 2021 for the $2million 2YO Classic.
She is by emerging stallion Deep Field, a horse considered one of the fastest of his generation and a stallion now leaving that speed in his progeny. His progeny are now strongly sought at sales like the Magic Millions because of their precocity and his top lot made $800,000 during the Gold Coast sale. Stakes winners like Cosmic Force, Xilong and Dig Deep gave us great confidence in the breed.
Our filly has the biggest nostril I have ever seen on a yearling and that facet has been common to all of our best horses; a big nostril means more oxygen intake which means more energy to burn in a race. She is a great mover and has a really fluent flow to her walk.
She will be trained by Lindsey Smith who I will ask to prepare her for the 2021 Magic Millions 2YO Classic.
This is a great value filly that was one of our best buys of the sale.
