Donations for Food Required for Wildlife

The Hobson’s Bay Vet Clinic are collecting the following items that will be distributed to the Gippsland and surrounding areas later in the week through Animal Rescue Collective (ARC).

Over the coming days, weeks and months, the wildlife that have survived the fires will need food and as much of their food source has been burnt, volunteers will be doing food drops to help get them through until their natural environment begins to recover.

Items being collected are
– Fruit baby food squeeze packs (preservative free, no custard or cinnamon please)
– Sweet potatoes
– Oranges
– Raw sugar
– Oaten Chaff
– Kangaroo pellets (horse pellets ok if not available)
– OXBOW Critical care
– Vetafarm Crittacare
– Oxbox rabbit pellets
– Dry dog food
– Good quality magnesium
– Supermarket vouchers
– Fuel vouchers
– Bunnings vouchers

These products can be purchased from supermarkets and large pet stores such as Pet stock and Pet Barn.

If you are in a position to donate any of the above items, please drop into the clinic by Wednesday afternoon as one of our nurses will be taking it to the collection point on Thursday. Thanks everyone xx
