The Launcher Wins in Moe

Well what a win by The Launcher and Congratulations to all involved !

He has certainly has plenty to learn , but glad to see he has a good motor which allowed him to put away his maiden today . Jamie commented post-race that he seemed like he was at his first day at school, just class carried him a long way today.

He looks like a colt that should improve with racing and also with a pre under his belt , as if you look closely in the video I sent through he doesn’t hold a great deal of condition , so hopefully we can see him race a few more times before he gets turned out for a spell !

As long as he pulls up well we can aim for a little bit better race and may even head into the city for a race, being mindful he is still mentally immature !

Well done guys again and we should have quite a bit of fun with this guy !!

Written in Stone wins at Bendigo!

Congratulations to our boy, Written in Stone who broke through in the final moments to win his 6th start in Bendigo, ridden by Damian Lane.
Trainer Darren Weir was very happy with the progress he’s made leading up to this race and it certainly comes across in this race.
Looking forward to seeing more of this in the future.

Goosey Fair Wins on 2nd Start

Darren Weir trained Goosey Fair won her maiden from just her second start!

Congratulations on the bonus win today as we knew she was a genuine place chance , but everything went our way for a nice surprise win ! Mick Dee rode her perfect and we definitely improved lengths on her first up run with her stretching out later for a very good win. Darren will see how she comes through before locking in where we head next week and that could include a spell as we think we have an exciting staying prospect and the Autumn gives us 3 choices of Oak’s races to set her for in 3 different states , but Darren will make the right call either way.

Platinum Angel Wins Maiden

Wrecking Ball Wins at Ballarat

Congratulations !

Well that was pretty painless today and young Liam gave him a perfect ride , riding him as the best horse in the race which he was clearly ! There was a pretty fierce head win once you turned the corner into the straight and Wrecking Ball was the only horse to be leading into the straight and not get run down all day which tells us the win was even better than it looked ! Liam clearly rates the way the horse is going and said he should have no problem’s getting to Saturday grade this time in, now he us a much stronger horse.

BUNKER BUSTER wins at Geelong

Well congratulations are in order after a tough gritty win by Bunker Buster today at Geelong! As I said in my pre-race that its always an ask first up over 1300 meters ,but glad our boy stuck his neck out when it countered. Reagan rode a perfect race using his gate speed early to get a lovely position and pounced at the right time to hold off a few of the other fancied runners. The 2 positives to take away from today’s race was that he burnt the candles at both ends and still was strong on the line, the other positive is how he settled in the run which will be a big advantage as he steps up in distance.

Regan’s comments post-race was that he has a nice future once he gets it mentally as he is still very new and he should derive some good confidence from today’s win going forward.

Prosecution wins at Ballarat!

Congratulations and what a bonus win as I am certain she doesn’t like the wet tracks, but to her credit her raw ability kicked in to win today.

Ben was in trouble when they cornered as she looked to be labouring, but I think it was a combination of being so new and the track surface that when they cornered she dropped the bit, but that last 200 when she was able to get balanced she showed us a good turn of foot ! It was also good to note that she ran 3 lengths better than the other 2 year old heat and was the fastest 1000 meter race for the entire day running quicker time than the older horses which is a very good sign !

Looking at her I would say she is going to be even better next time around, but there are some nice black type fillies races coming up in August and if the penny was to drop with her over the next start or 2 , who knows we might find ourselves lining up in those better races.

Versos de Amor wins at Donald!
